Role Summary
The Import Logistics Officer will manage end-to-end import documentation, shipment tracking, clearing coordination, and stakeholder communication to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of imported goods.
Key Responsibilities
Manage import shipments from Proforma Invoice stage to final delivery.
Process and follow up on Form M, L/C, Marine Insurance, PAAR, SONCAP, NAFDAC, and related documentation.
Liaise with banks, Customs, shipping lines, clearing agents, and transporters for timely approvals and clearance.
Track shipments and prepare weekly import position reports and daily status updates.
Prepare clearing cost estimates and coordinate duty, terminal, and logistics payments.
Ensure timely clearing, delivery, container returns, and proper file closure.
Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reconciliations.
Support supervisors, colleagues, and assigned clients as required.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Import Logistics.
Strong knowledge of Customs procedures, port operations, and bank documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables mandatory).
Excellent email writing and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments.
Availability to support operations remotely via smartphone when required.
Age: 30–40 years
Working Hours: Monday–Friday (9:00 am – 6:00 pm); Alternate Saturdays (shipment planning).
