Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant located in Lagos State, Nigeria.
The Accountant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring budgets, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Additional responsibilities include preparing reports, reconciling bank statements, assisting with audits, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments and demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management
Minimum of 3 to 4 years accounting experience.
Skills in account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management
Experience with financial software and tools such as Excel and accounting systems
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and analytical thinking
Understanding of regulatory compliance and audit preparation processes
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, ACA) is a must
Prior experience in the retail or toy industry is a plus
