Job
Responsible for strategic sourcing, pricing, and buying major and micro materials including head office logistics.
The job holder also assists the Supply Chain Manager in the day-to-day supervision and running of the Department.
Responsibilities
Ensures that there is no stock of materials around the mills
Ensures OTIF delivery of materials at competitive prices.
Daily/ weekly market intelligence
Checking the warehouses to ensure proper stacking of materials.
Ensure prompt offloading by working closely with Warehouse Managers
General staff supervision to ensure the job is done according to the processes provided.
Process payment and follow up on accounts to ensure prom payment to suppliers
Any other duties as may be assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Experience in the agro-allied industry preferably in the animal feed sector.
Must have worked in a manufacturing environment dealing with raw materials for at least 5 years.
Working experience in an SAP environment is required
Experience in logistics operations
