Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities
Perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs in any assigned locations and client site.
Develop, implement and maintain an effective program of equipment and preventive maintenance work.
Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts and component such as valves, pumps and bearings
Carry out overhaul and adjust pumps, valves, separators, ventilators etc
Perform equipment inspections to ensure that the equipment is safely maintained and operable.
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner aiming for maximum reliability
Ensure that any inconsistencies are further investigated and problems are pinpointed exactly
Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventive measures to machine users.
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and engine components by cleaning, replenishing fluids and applying lubricants to them.
Ensure availability of parts and supplies by assessing jobs and determining parts that are needed for the job.
Perform Any other job assigned by your Supervisor.
Qualifications / Requirements
HND / B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or any other related program.
10 – 15 years relevant experience as mechanical engineer in any reputable power distribution company only
Ability to use ET for troubleshooting is a must.
Caterpillar engine experience is a must.
Must have proven knowledge of how to use various hand tools and precision measurement tools.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
Demonstrate sound technical knowledge in diesel and gas driven engines.
Caterpillar engine experience is a must.
Strong mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of plant equipment, such as pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, valves, turbines, and other industrial machinery.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
