Job Summary
Redeemer’s Health Village (RHV) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist to provide comprehensive eye care services and support the continued growth of our specialist clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of eye diseases and visual disorders.
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and interpret ophthalmic investigations.
Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within the scope of practice.
Manage outpatient, inpatient, and emergency ophthalmic cases.
Develop individualised treatment plans using evidence-based clinical practice.
Collaborate with other specialists to provide integrated patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives.
Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and continuing medical education activities.
Requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
Fellowship in Ophthalmology (FWACS, FMCOphth, or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification).
Current licence to practise medicine.
Minimum of 3 years’ post-specialisation experience is an advantage.
Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvement.
