Job Summary

 

We are seeking a skilled, passionate, and disciplined Chef to join our restaurant kitchen team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring consistent taste and presentation in line with the restaurant’s menu and brand.

This role is critical to delivering excellent dining experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

 

Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s menu and recipes

Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations

Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management

Properly store food items in compliance with food safety standards

Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times

Assist in menu planning and food portion control

Minimize food waste and manage kitchen resources efficiently

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation

Handle kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Certification:

 

Minimum of SSCE qualification

Culinary school training or professional chef certification is an added advantage

Food safety or hygiene certification is a plus

Experience:

 

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or catering environment

Experience with local and/or continental dishes is an advantage

Technical & Culinary Skills:

 

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations

Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent standards

Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices

Soft Skills & Competencies:

 

Passion for cooking and attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Good time management and multitasking skills

Team spirit and strong work ethic

Physical stamina to stand for long hours.
