Job Summary

 

The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals according to established recipes and standards, ensuring high quality, hygiene, and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

 

Prepare and cook meals in accordance with approved menus and recipes

Ensure food is prepared and served on time and in correct portions

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, utensils, and work areas

Follow food safety, health, and sanitation regulations

Monitor food stock levels and report shortages or spoilage

Properly store food items to prevent contamination and waste

Assist in menu planning when required

Ensure proper use and care of kitchen equipment

Comply with company policies and kitchen procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

 

1- 5 years proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role

Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment

Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards

Ability to work under pressure and in a team

Good time management and organizational skills

Physical stamina to stand for long periods.
