Job Summary

 

As a Sous Chef, you will supports the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, staff supervision, quality control, inventory management, and food safety compliance according to YellowDoor’s standards of quality and presentation. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, support kitchen efficiency, and ensure that food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

 

Assist in planning, organizing, and directing daily kitchen activities

Oversee food preparation and cooking to ensure consistency and quality standards

Ensure food is prepared in a timely and organized manner

Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high kitchen standards

Communicate effectively with other kitchen and service team members

Step into leadership roles in the absence of the Head Chef

Requirements

 

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen

Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards

Ability to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays as required

Must be punctual, reliable, and able to take instruction

Ability to remain calm and productive under pressure
