Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of Nigerian and continental dishes according to the restaurant’s standards.
Develop and update menu items in collaboration with management.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
Ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Monitor kitchen inventory and request supplies when necessary.
Minimize food waste and control kitchen costs.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when necessary.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or food service establishment.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian cuisine and continental dishes.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
