Job Summary
A mechanics supervisor is responsible for coordinating mechanical and installation work and supervising installers, mechanics, and repairmen.
They are responsible for scheduling these tasks and ensuring all operations run efficiently. Mechanics supervisors also inspect work done by mechanics under their supervision, examine tools to ensure that they are in good working condition and maintain logs of machine repair and maintenance.
Mechanical engineers Supervisor develop, design, build, test, and inspect mechanical devices and systems, such as machines, tools, and engines.
Essential Job Function
Trains workers in rigging hoists, and dismantling and loading equipment.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations. Experienced in heavy diesel engine diagnosis and repairs.
Mechanic supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that repair work targets or goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Has full authority for personnel actions.
Supervise maintenance and repair of trucks.
Mechanic Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of the workshop staff.
Schedules, trains, and coordinates the work of mechanics and technicians.
Ensures inventory of replacement parts, tools, and equipment is maintained effectively. Establishes and enforces quality and safety standards and regulations for preventive maintenance and repairs.
