Description
Taking proper stock and audit of drugs in the pharmacy.
Dispensing of drugs for inpatients and out patients.
Filling and labelling of medical containers.
Proper dispensing of all medications.
Checking of all prescriptions for errors, ensuring they are appropriate and safe for the individual patient.
Provide advice on the dosage of medicines and the most appropriate form of medication, which could be by tablet, injection, ointment or inhaler.
Maintaining of sufficient stock of all needed medications.
Detailing of medicines to doctors, nurses, interns etc.
Being in charge of requisition of all medicines.
Checking the quality and the sources of drugs before dispensing.
To keep up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability
To ensure and adhere to standard pharmacy safety measures and checks.
Involved with scientific meetings in the department.
Requirements
Candidates should possess an HND qualification with 1 – 5 years work experience.
Salary
N70,000 – N80,000 / month.
