Safety Managers

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enforce health and safety standards at our mining site/factory in Nasarawa.

The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and minimize workplace risks.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures

Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations

Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments

Investigate accidents/incidents and implement corrective actions

Organize safety training and awareness programs for staff

Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Maintain safety records and prepare reports for management

Liaise with regulatory authorities on safety compliance matters

Promote a strong safety culture across the organization

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field

Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is an advantage

Minimum of 2 years experience in a mining or industrial environment

Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
