Key Responsibilities
Conduct topographic, boundary, cadastral, and engineering surveys using total stations, GNSS/GPS receivers, levels, and drone-based survey platforms.
Perform pre-construction, during-construction, and post-construction surveys to support design, setting-out, and as-built documentation requirements.
Carry out precise setting-out of structural elements, road alignments, drainage channels, pipelines, and other infrastructure components on site.
Process, analyse, and validate field data using survey software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica Geo Office, Trimble Business Centre, or equivalent.
Produce survey drawings, digital terrain models (DTMs), contour maps, volume calculations, and cross-sections to required accuracy standards.
Establish, maintain, and document survey control networks and benchmarks across project sites.
Conduct deformation monitoring surveys for structures, embankments, and critical infrastructure as required.
Liaise with project engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure survey data is correctly interpreted and applied in design and construction.
Prepare and submit survey reports, field notes, and technical documentation in a clear and timely manner.
Ensure all survey activities comply with applicable Nigerian and international survey standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintain, calibrate, and manage survey instruments and equipment, reporting faults or deficiencies promptly.
Supervise survey technicians, chainmen, and field assistants, ensuring safe and accurate execution of survey tasks.
