Quantity Surveyor

Accountabilities:

Preparing and submitting accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Managing project budgets and cash flow projections, ensuring that costs are kept within budget.
Conducting risk assessments and providing advice on the commercial implications of decisions made during the construction process.
Preparing tender documents and contracts, negotiating with contractors, and ensuring that contracts are awarded to the most suitable contractors.
Collaborating with other members of the project team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Monitoring project progress and ensuring that costs are accurately recorded and reported.
Managing the payment process, including valuing completed work and issuing payment certificates.
Ensuring that all project-related documentation is accurately recorded and filed.
Conducting post-project evaluations and producing reports on the project’s financial performance.
Keeping up to date with industry developments and changes in legislation and regulations relating to construction costs and contracts.
Experience / Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
A minimum 3 years experience in quantity surveying
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
Proficient in cost estimating and budget management software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail and accuracy task.
Self-driven and proactive nature.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate leadership qualities.
High computer literacy and ability to learn new software.
Experience in document creation.
