Role Overview<\/p>\n
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer (BDO) to drive user acquisition, merchant onboarding, and revenue growth across assigned market clusters.
\nThe BDO will be responsible for expanding the company\u2019s presence within designated markets, managing field agents, building merchant relationships, and ensuring consistent transactional growth within their territory.
\nThis role requires strong field execution, relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of grassroots market dynamics.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nMarket Expansion & Cluster Management:<\/p>\n
Identify and develop new markets within assigned territory.
\nDrive merchant and agent acquisition in open markets, plazas, and commercial hubs.
\nBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders in each cluster (market leaders, associations, large merchants).
\nEnsure brand visibility and activation within assigned markets.
\nMerchant & Agent Onboarding:<\/p>\n
Recruit, onboard, and activate merchants and agents onto the fintech platform.
\nProvide training on product usage, transaction processes, and troubleshooting.
\nEnsure merchants meet onboarding compliance requirements.
\nRevenue & Performance Growth;<\/p>\n
Drive transaction volume and revenue growth within assigned clusters.
\nMonitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics.
\nImplement strategies to improve merchant activity and retention.
\nAchieve assigned KPIs and growth targets.
\nField Supervision & Relationship Management:<\/p>\n
Supervise field agents within assigned markets.
\nConduct regular field visits to ensure service quality and compliance.
\nAddress merchant complaints and escalate issues where necessary.
\nMaintain long-term relationships to ensure retention and loyalty.
\nReporting & Insights:<\/p>\n
Submit daily\/weekly activity and performance reports.
\nProvide market intelligence and competitor insights.
\nRecommend strategic improvements based on field realities.
\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)<\/p>\n
Number of merchants onboarded
\nActive merchant rate
\nTransaction volume growth
\nRevenue targets achieved
\nMarket cluster penetration rate
\nAgent productivity.
\nQualifications & Requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field (preferred).
\n2\u20134 years experience in fintech, FMCG sales, field sales, or business development.
\nExperience managing open markets or cluster-based sales models is an advantage.
\nStrong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
\nAbility to work independently in field-based environments.
\nStrong reporting and basic data analysis skills.
