{"id":20341,"date":"2026-03-24T13:46:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T13:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jobsinnaija.com\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=20341"},"modified":"2026-03-24T22:35:23","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T22:35:23","slug":"elephant-healthcare-abuja-full-time-finance-assistant-2","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.jobsinnaija.com\/?job_listing=elephant-healthcare-abuja-full-time-finance-assistant-2","title":{"rendered":"Finance Assistant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Responsibilities<br \/>\nAs Finance Assistant, you will be required to conduct the following:<br \/>\nMonitor and support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures for the company;<br \/>\nDevelop and manage relationships with suppliers, including setting up online payments;<br \/>\nMaintain books using Xero, including reconciling bank accounts daily and posting journals (using the support of the Elephant finance team and external accountants as appropriate);<br \/>\nInstruct accountants on monthly payroll, making sure we remit taxes and pension payments;<br \/>\nWork with external accountants to ensure tax and statutory compliance;<br \/>\nScreen suppliers and maintain preferred supplier lists;<br \/>\nMake reimbursements to team members as and when required; and<br \/>\nPrepare the Management Accounts each month.<br \/>\nRequirements<br \/>\nOur ideal colleague will be an experienced Finance Assistant who is looking for a role where they can learn and grow. We are looking for someone who can juggle multiple tasks, conflicting stakeholders and be personable. If this sounds like you, please apply. Desired attributes include:<br \/>\nDegree educated in Finance, Accounting or relevant field AND professional accounting training is essential;<br \/>\nFamiliarity with office management procedures;<br \/>\nGood working knowledge of MS Office and Google Drive\/Sheets\/Docs; and<br \/>\nAdvanced Excel experience is essential.<br \/>\nExperience in accounting software (Xero would be helpful, but is not essential);<br \/>\nProven experience as a Finance Assistant, Accountant, Bookkeeper or relevant role for 4 to 6 years;<br \/>\nExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.<br \/>\nBenefits<br \/>\nThe starting pay is up to 450,000 Nigerian Naira gross per month. Your salary and benefits will grow as the company continues to grow. Our benefits include:<br \/>\nFlexible working \u2013 we aim to provide all members of our team with flexibility regarding working hours.
