Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Implement and monitor compliance with the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.<\/p>\n
Conduct daily site safety inspections and hazard identification walks, documenting findings and ensuring prompt corrective actions.<\/p>\n
Deliver regular toolbox talks, inductions, and safety awareness sessions to site workers, artisans, and subcontractors.<\/p>\n
Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and method statements for site activities.<\/p>\n
Monitor and enforce the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.<\/p>\n
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; compile preliminary investigation reports and recommend corrective actions.<\/p>\n
Maintain and update HSE records including inspection reports, incident logs, training registers, and permit-to-work documentation.<\/p>\n
Support emergency response activities including first aid provision and evacuation procedures.<\/p>\n
Liaise with the HSE Manager to report site safety performance, concerns, and observations.<\/p>\n
Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of materials, chemicals, and waste on site.<\/p>\n
Participate in HSE audits and inspections as required by the HSE Manager.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.<\/p>\n
Minimum of 5 years of HSE experience on construction sites or within the real estate\/infrastructure sector.<\/p>\n
Relevant HSE certifications required: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), ISPON certification, or equivalent.<\/p>\n
Valid First Aid certification is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Skills & Competencies:<\/p>\n

Good working knowledge of Nigerian HSE regulations and construction site safety standards.<\/p>\n
Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop site-specific safety plans.<\/p>\n
Effective communication and training delivery skills.<\/p>\n
Attention to detail and strong observation skills.<\/p>\n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic construction environment.<\/p>\n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for report writing and documentation.<\/p>\n
