Basic Function<\/p>\n
Under the direction of the Field Coordinator or as delegated, the driver will be responsible to Transport FHI360 staff, consultants\/ equipment and programme goods to and fro Office, Guest house\/Hotels\/Airport\/Hospital\/Agency offices\/warehouse etc.
\nDuties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Check the vehicle prior to its use in the morning and after use.
\nCheck, on taking over a vehicle, that the items listed on the vehicle check list and the items listed in the vehicle tools and materials inventory are present and in full functioning order.
\nReport defects \/ damage immediately.
\nSubmit monthly mileage\/ fuel consumption & Maintenance report to the head driver.
\nEnsure all vehicle journeys are authorized in advance.
\nRecord every movement in the logbook at the start and completion of the journey.
\nEnsure vehicles document including insurance is valid at all times\/keep Documents folder updated.
\nEnsure that the keys and vehicle documents are kept in a secure place when the vehicle is not in use.
\nEnsure the use of seat belts by all on board before moving the vehicle.
\nDrive fhi 360 vehicles on the approve speed limit on the different route and abide by the fleet policy.
\nReport all incident\/ accidents immediately including near mist.
\nAlways ensures the safety of passengers
\nKeep to security protocol and warning.
\nQualifications and Requirements<\/p>\n
Must have SSCE \/ NECO Certificate Examination
\nMust have 1-4 years\u2019 experience working as a driver with a reputable organization (INGOs, Corporate, Government)
\nExperience as a mechanic or auto-electrician desirable.
\nExperience working in the Northeast Geographical region required.
\nPossession of a valid National Driver\u2019s License
\nExcellent verbal communication and listening skills.
\nAble to communicate in English, Hausa or Kanuri
\nComputer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
\nKnowledge, skills, and attributes:<\/p>\n
Ability to respond to emergency callout at all times.
\nAble to transport all staff, equipment, and materials safely.
\nAbility to Ensure visibility protocols are always adhered to
\nAbility to Keep the vehicle clean in\/ outside daily.
