The Finance Officer is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial transactions across all sales channels, including physical stores, POS systems, and e-commerce platforms.<\/p>\n
This role requires a finance professional with strong reconciliation expertise, the ability to investigate discrepancies, and the discipline to strengthen financial controls within a fast-paced retail environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, POS transactions, Payment gateways, and E-commerce sales records.<\/p>\n
Reconcile store sales reports and EOD against accounting\/ERP records.<\/p>\n
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, chargebacks, and unidentified variances.<\/p>\n
Maintain detailed reconciliation schedules and audit trails.<\/p>\n
Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections.<\/p>\n
Process payments and maintain accurate payables records and compliance with internal financial policies and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
Work with Retail Auditor to strengthen internal controls to minimize financial risk, support audit preparation, and respond to audit queries.<\/p>\n
Strengthen reconciliation processes to minimize financial risk and fraud exposure.<\/p>\n
Recommend automation or system improvements to enhance reconciliation accuracy.<\/p>\n
Liaise with Store Supervisors and Operations teams to resolve financial discrepancies<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<\/p>\n
At least 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role (retail experience is an advantage).<\/p>\n
Strong expertise in financial reconciliation (Bank, POS, payment gateways, inventory).<\/p>\n
Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP\/XLOOKUP).<\/p>\n
