Duties<\/p>\n
Developing and producing visual aids and teaching resources;
\nOrganising learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of resources;
\nDeveloping children\u2019s curiosity and knowledge;
\nWorking with others, including teaching assistants and\/or nursery nurses as well as volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate work both indoors and outdoors;
\nObserving, assessing and recording each child\u2019s progress;
\nAttending in-service training;
\nSharing knowledge gained with other practitioners and parents;
\nProviding pastoral care and support to children and providing them with a secure environment to learn;
\nMotivating and stimulating children\u2019s learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience;
\nEnsuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery\/school;
\nKeeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.
\nAssisting with the development of children\u2019s personal\/social and language abilities;
\nSupporting the development of children\u2019s basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication;
\nEncouraging children\u2019s mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
\nSkills and Qualification<\/p>\n
Degree in Education, with a focus on early childhood development.
\nExperience working with young children in a classroom setting.
\nAbility to communicate with young children at their level.
\nPatient, compassionate attitude, with a friendly, energetic disposition.
\nGood mediation and nurturing abilities.
\nCreative mindset with an ability to create memorable, out-of-the-box lessons.
\nPassion for shaping and inspiring young minds.
\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
