Job Description<\/p>\n
Mechanical Design Engineer at Buckler Systems would be responsible for carrying out detailed mechanical design work including 3D modelling, simulation and design verification testing as required.
\nYou will exercise creativity and determination as you study plans, develop designs, build prototypes and run tests to measure level of functionality.
\nOur Mechanical Engineer is focused on undertaking research, testing and measuring the performance of our equipment, planning and designing tools, reviewing specifications and other data to develop mechanical layouts.
\nIn this role, your aim is to create and improve manufacturing systems or processes and develop drawings for our equipment.
\nResponsibilities<\/p>\n
Designs, executes, and manages tests to collect statistically significant data to ensure technical specifications and product requirements are met.
\nResponsible for mechanical part selection taking into consideration obsolescence, availability, design costs, mechanical products and systems by developing and
\ntesting specifications and methods.
\nEvaluates and confirms mechanical systems and products by conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics.
\nConstructs prototypes, performs physical testing on engineering prototypes and confirm designs.
\nChoose and interface with vendors for low cost and high performance.
\nConform with local, state and company engineering standards.
\nDesign and implement manufacturing and maintenance policies.
\nUsing CAD and CAE software to design and oversee product blueprints.
\nWriting and documenting reports on Military equipment and engineering records.
\nWorks closely with operations, manufacturing and production engineers to ensure products are designed for manufacture.
\nDevelops mechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.
\nDevelops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
\nAssures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities, confirming fabrication, assembly, and
\ninstallation processes.
\nPrepares product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
\nMaintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations, industry and business standards.
\nRequirements<\/p>\n
Candidates should possess a Bachelor\u2019s Degree qualification.
\n3 year\u2019 experience in an engineering role or similar role within Military or similar industry
\nExperience in designing industry-specific products.
\nAutoCAD \/ Solid works experience.
\nFamiliarity with technical specifications
