Responsibilities<\/p>\n
This role requires excellent collaboration skills\u00a0with various people, such as construction workers, supervisors, architects and engineers. In order to\u00a0succeed, he\/she must anticipate, interpret, inspect, record, report, advise and guide, help reduce risk,\u00a0provide guidance on health and safety matters
\nResponsible for your team\u2019s safety and others affected by your work\u2019s scope on a day to\u00a0day basis
\nOverseeing and directing site activities from conception to completion
\nReviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
\nOverseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building, technical and\u00a0safety regulations
\nSelect tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
\nMeet contractual conditions of performance
\nReview the work progress on daily basis
\nPrepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
\nPlan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
\nAnalyze, manage and mitigate construction and Safety risks
\nEnsure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
\nFocus on quality; promoting right first time initiatives, reducing rework and double handling,
\nMentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
\nEstablishing method statements to meet work schedules,
\nEstablishing JSA\u2019s to meet HSE regulations,
\nResolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and product\u00a0quality,
\nTraining or arranging for the training of workers in job duties and company policies,
\nEnsuring standards for safe working conditions,
\nRecommending personnel actions such as hirings and promotions,
\nResolve day to day field personnel issues
\nDesired Skills and Experience<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s\u00a0Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field
\nMinimum of 5 years working experience in construction management
\nAdvanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
\nExpert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and\u00a0quality standards
\nUnderstanding of all facets of the construction process
\nFamiliarity with construction management software packages
\nAbility to plan and see the \u201cbig picture\u201d
\nCompetent in conflict and crisis management
\nLeadership and human resources management skills
\nExcellent time and project management skills
\nA good understanding and knowledge of the practical and legal aspects of health and safety
