We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enforce health and safety standards at our mining site\/factory in Nasarawa.<\/p>\n
The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and minimize workplace risks.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations<\/p>\n
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments<\/p>\n
Investigate accidents\/incidents and implement corrective actions<\/p>\n
Organize safety training and awareness programs for staff<\/p>\n
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)<\/p>\n
Maintain safety records and prepare reports for management<\/p>\n
Liaise with regulatory authorities on safety compliance matters<\/p>\n
Promote a strong safety culture across the organization<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field<\/p>\n
Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is an advantage<\/p>\n
Minimum of 2 years experience in a mining or industrial environment<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management<\/p>\n
Excellent leadership and communication skills<\/p>\n
