We are seeking a passionate and competent Hausa Language Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Hausa language and culture, promoting language proficiency, and supporting learners\u2019 linguistic and cultural development in line with the school\u2019s curriculum and values.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Teach Hausa language (speaking, reading, and writing) effectively across assigned year groups.
\nPrepare lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and learners\u2019 needs.
\nUse engaging and learner-centred teaching strategies.
\nAssess, record, and report students\u2019 progress accurately. Integrate Hausa culture, values, and traditions into lessons where appropriate.
\nMaintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programmes.<\/p>\n
Requirements & Qualifications<\/p>\n
Minimum of NCE, B.Ed, B.A, or B.Sc in Hausa or a related field.
\nProven experience teaching Hausa at primary and\/or secondary level is an advantage.
\nStrong command of spoken and written Hausa.
\nGood classroom management and communication skills.
\nPassion for teaching and working with young people.
\nAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues.
\nPersonal Attributes Patient, creative, and culturally sensitive.
\nProfessional, punctual, and well-organised.
