Introduction to Plan International Nigeria SHOW Project

Plan International Nigeria is one of four countries including Ghana, Banledesh , and Senegal implementing the “Strengthening Health Outcome for Women and Children (SHOW)” second cost extension project that seeks to contribute to the reduction of maternal and child mortality addressing COVID-19 situation and emphasizing on unpaid care work (UPCW). Project is also encouraging equitable sharing of household care work (HCW) among male and female family members. In this regard the following are relevant key project activities:

  •  Creating awareness among women and men’s groups on equal distribution of UPCW.
  •   adolescent girls’ and boys’ groups supported to increase awareness of COVID-19 and the vaccine, including equitable distribution of UPCW between women/ girls and men/ boy.

To know the outcomes of UPCW related intervention of the SHOW second extension period, a qualitative study will be carried out. Therefore, 14- number of enumerators are required with excellent English and Hausa language skills, to facilitate FGD and IDI/KII in Hausa language, transcribe in English language the complete FGDs and IDI and tabulate the matrix.
